“Dholki Kiski Hai Pata Nahi” Returns to Dubai: Two Friends from India & Pakistan Bring Cultures Together for Season 2

Dubai, UAE – September 2025
A year ago, on 12th October 2024, two close friends  Hina Sufiyan, a Pakistani lifestyle blogger, and Dr. Muhammad Yusuf, an Indian journalist and blogger  brought a fresh wave of cross-cultural celebration to Dubai with a unique event called “Dholki Kiski Hai Pata Nahi.”

The idea was simple but powerful: recreate the joy, color, and community spirit of India–Pakistan wedding festivities right here in Dubai. And even with minimal marketing last year, the event drew 70 enthusiastic guests, all of whom came together to celebrate sangeet nights, dhol beats, and the sheer joy of friendship across borders.

“Dholki Kiski Hai Pata Nahi” was more than just a party  it was a statement. At a time when global narratives often focus on differences, Hina and Yusuf’s initiative reminded everyone that music, dance, and celebration are universal.

This year, the duo is back with Season 2  bigger, better, and louder. “Last year was proof that Dubai was ready for something like this,” says Hina Sufiyan. “We saw people from all backgrounds Indians, Pakistanis, Arabs, even Europeans  dancing together, singing along to Bollywood and Lollywood hits, and reliving memories of home. This year, we’re going all out to make it even more memorable.”

“We’re proud that we started this trend before ‘fake sangeets’ became a thing,” adds Dr. Muhammad Yusuf. “Season 2 will have more music, more dhol, and more magic  all while staying true to our vision of celebrating unity through culture. Not only DJ vibes, we had dhol with marriage songs, dance, games and we will be bringing all of that again in the Season 2”

The event promises to bring together Dubai’s diverse South Asian community for a night filled with vibrant décor, live dhol players, a curated Bollywood–Punjabi–Pakistani music mix, and traditional wedding games that guests can actually participate in.

With Dubai quickly becoming a hub for experiential events and unique nightlife concepts, “Dholki Kiski Hai Pata Nahi” stands out for its authenticity and heart. It’s not just entertainment  it’s a cultural bridge.

The organizers are now inviting the city to join them for this special night of joy, laughter, and nostalgia.
