Orchid Fertility Clinic Launches Dedicated Fertility Support Group for Women Navigating Infertility

Community Initiative Offers Free, Twice-Monthly Coffee Mornings to Bring Comfort, Connection and Expert Guidance to Women — Providing a Safe and Supportive Space

15 December 2025; Dubai, UAE — Orchid Fertility Clinic has announced the launch of its Fertility Support Group, an in-person community initiative designed to offer women a safe, gentle and non-judgmental space to connect, share, and receive emotional and professional support as they navigate the challenges of infertility.

The new initiative will host twice-monthly coffee-morning meetups every month, giving women the opportunity to come together, talk openly about their journeys, and access guidance from Orchid’s multidisciplinary team, including fertility nurses, doulas and clinical psychologists. The next session will be held on 18 December, with plans to introduce Saturday and early-evening gatherings from January to accommodate working women.

Infertility treatments often place heavy emotional and psychological strain on women, especially those facing repeated IVF failures, recurrent pregnancy loss, or the uncertainty of unexplained infertility. Many go through these experiences silently, without a community that truly understands.

“At its heart, the Fertility Support Group is a place where women can finally be themselves and feel understood,” said Anne-Sophie Martial, Clinical Psychologist at Orchid. “It’s a space to talk to people who get it, people who have lived the same fears, hopes, and disappointments. It’s gentle, empathetic support, without pressure, without judgment.”

Unlike typical fertility seminars, the coffee mornings are intentionally unstructured and conversation-led, allowing women to take the discussion in the direction they need. Sessions alternate between café meetups and gatherings at the clinic, where a doctor, embryologist or specialist may join informally to answer questions or offer reassurance.

The initiative is especially meaningful in a city like Dubai, where many residents live far from family support systems. Emotional isolation can deepen the stress of fertility treatments, and Orchid hopes the regular in-person gatherings will help bridge that gap. “Many women feel they’re going through this alone,” added Martial. “Building a consistent community gives them someone to lean on, peers who understand the emotional intensity of trying to conceive. It transforms the journey from isolating to shared.”

Importantly, the support group is open to all women, regardless of whether they are patients at Orchid. Anyone navigating fertility challenges can join, meet others, ask questions, or simply sit and listen. Future sessions held at the clinic may explore topics such as reasons behind recurrent pregnancy loss, treatment pathways after IVF failures, advances in genetic screening, and emotional wellbeing during fertility treatment.

Supported and anchored by Cassie Destino, Founder of the IVF Support UAE, and Leanne Davies, Fertility Counsellor and Nurse at Orchid Fertility, this initiative combines lived experience with professional insight, ensuring the group remains a compassionate, grounded and truly supportive space for every woman who walks in.

“The medical aspect is just one part of fertility care,” said Dr. Partha Sarathi Das, Medical Director at Orchid Fertility Clinic. “Equally essential is emotional and psychological support. Through this group, we want women to feel seen, validated and uplifted, not just as patients pursuing treatment, but as individuals with real stories, emotions and hopes.”

The next coffee-morning session will be held on Thursday, 18 December from 9-11 am at the Heal Café, 30 Al Manara Street, Umm Suqeim2, Dubai. Women interested in joining can contact Orchid Fertility Clinic to receive meeting schedules, café locations and updates on themed discussion days.
