Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra takes first place in VCX Forum camera rankings
The latest addition to the Galaxy portfolio earned the top spot and highest 5-star rating across the board for the quality of its main (rear) camera, video and selfie camera.
Dubai, UAE, 26 April 2022: Samsung Gulf Electronics is proud to announce the Samsung’s Galaxy S22 Ultra’s ranked first for camera quality and as the only device to receive a top 5-star rating in an independent evaluation by Valued Camera Experience (VCX) Forum, a non-profit organization dedicated to technical research and the evaluation of image quality in device cameras comprised of major smartphone manufacturers.
The Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G represents Samsung’s most advanced photography and video experience, highlighted by a 2.4um pixel sensor – Samsung’s largest pixel sensor to date – designed to capture more light and data for incredibly bright and crisp photos and videos under any lighting condition.

VCX Forum tested all of the smartphone cameras released up to this year in a variety of different conditions including bright daylight and dark environments to simulate nighttime photographs in terms of image quality, dynamic range, light performance, video and selfies.
The Galaxy S22 Ultra achieved high marks across the board for the quality of the main (rear) camera (73 points) and video (70 points), selfie camera (64 points) and general performance (62 points); knowing that over 20 of the world’s leading smartphone manufacturers and camera sensor producers participated in the 2022 VCX Forum’s evaluation.
