Raey are delighted to announce the launch of their first drop of the AW22 season, celebrated with a campaign photographed and art directed by renowned stylist, Suzanne Koller.

Rachael Proud, Creative Director at Raey“We never have a grand overarching vision for the Raey collection, we focus instead on creating clothes people want to wear again and again. We are very much garment focused in the way we build the collection and each piece has to earn it’s place in the range. We have worked once before with the wonderful Suzanne Koller and were thrilled that she agreed to collaborate again on this new shoot. We wanted to give Suzanne total freedom to play around with the clothes and shoot them on whoever she chose, however she chose. Luxury images are often so serious, but these pictures and the videos are fun and happy, a great reflection of the brand and the customer we are talking to. We loved Suzanne’s model choice of Saskia de Brauw, who we love as both an artist and a model. The way she moves in the clothes really shows both their proportion and shape.”

Last year, Raey focused their efforts on environmental concerns to make the most sensitive sourcing and manufacturing choices, concentrating on ecologically responsible materials to create clothes that are made to last. Starting with their core collection they moved to organic denim with laser wash treatments, switched to 95% recycled cashmere, sustainably sourced merino wool and recycled & organic jersey blends. This season, the brand expanded their conscious efforts to tailoring using recycled and responsibly sourced wool and organic cashmere corduroy.

The AW22 drop consists of the signature exaggerated-shoulder tux in ‘Raey navy’, dogtooth and tweed suiting, all with trouser or skirt options, organic cashmere corduroy co-ords and strong outerwear in bold colourways and batwing shearling aviator jackets.

Raey’s staple leopard-print returns on a larger scale on wide-sleeve raglan coats and in a jacquard mini version featured on trench coats and an alpaca oversized raglan knit. Dresses come in new, bold shapes in mid-calf and maxi lengths styled with washed leather biker jackets and recycled cashmere jumpers around the waist.

The denim category continues to grow with the ‘Drop’, an ultra-oversized jean in organic denim. The new shape will launch alongside denim pencil skirts in midi and maxi lengths.

Raey’s first AW22 drop will launch with an installation at 5 Carlos Place, online at www.matchesfashion.com,  and in MATCHESFASHION’s London stores on August 31st 2022. The Raey café will return to 5 Carlos Place for London Fashion Week this September.
