Majid Al Futtaim Partners Convention celebrated innovations in retail excellence

  • Partners were recognised for excellence in innovation, marketing, customer experience and sustainability 
  • Majid Al Futtaim’s future partner programs for the coming years were revealed 

     

Dubai, UAE, 1 March 2023: Majid Al Futtaim, the leading shopping mall, communities, retail and leisure pioneer across the Middle East, Africa and Central Asia, hosted a Partners Convention which celebrated and awarded some of the region’s most innovative and successful retailers.  

Hosted on the rooftop of Kempinski Hotels, Mall of Emirates, more than 200 valued retail partners were in attendance. The opening speech by Ahmed El Shamy, Chief Executive Officer, Majid Al Futtaim – properties- hailed the industry’s progress and the individuals who continue to push the boundaries on customer experience, and those who strive to fulfil and exceed sustainable commitments.  

Majid Al Futtaim’s partner programs for the coming years were revealed, by Michelle Walsh, Senior Marketing Director, Majid Al Futtaim, including marketing support which will deliver customer insights and opportunities to further unlock value.  

Concluding the evening, Fuad Mansoor Sharaf, Managing Director, Majid Al Futtaim presented an award ceremony, where partners were recognised and celebrated for excellence in innovation, marketing, customer experience and sustainability. Mediclinic, Etisalat and Chanel were awarded first place for their efforts in reducing water usage, energy consumption and for sustainable innovations, respectively. Whilst retailers including Golden Goose, FT NFT, Huawei and Melodica were recognized for their unique and pioneering work toward enhancing customer experience and loyalty.

Throughout the evening, guests were treated to live music by Sparks – a successful classical crossover group – exploring new and experimental fusions of classic with Jazz, Rock, South American Arabic, and Indian tunes.  

The Majid Al Futtaim Shopping Malls Partner Convention reaffirms Majid Al Futtaim’s commitment to customer excellence. Initiatives including the ‘Big City Centre Vote’ continue to shape the face of retail across all mall properties, guided by customer’s qualitative and quantitative data and supported by retail partners.
