Philip Carey, a 52-year-old UK citizen, has been working in the aviation industry in Abu Dhabi since 2012. Winning AED 10,000 for the second time in two months left him astonished. He shared the news with his work friend, and they were both amazed by his back-to-back victories, or as Philip puts it in his typical British style, “We were gobsmacked.” Philip plans to use his winnings to take his family of four on a memorable Eid Al Adha break in Sri Lanka. When asked if he will continue playing Emirates Draw MEGA7, he said, “It is a challenge to get the right numbers for the draw, but in sha Allah, I will get the chance to win the AED 100 million!” If he wins the Grand Prize, Philip plans to pay off mortgages in the UK, travel the world, and support people who have helped him over the years.
Meanwhile, Shake Abdul Lathif, a 54-year-old Indian from Kasaragod district in Kerala living and working in Sharjah for over 12 years, had previously tried his luck with EASY6 before hitting the tasting success on his first try with MEGA7, winning AED 10,000 in the Raffle Draw. He has a family with two kids and is elated with his unexpected win, Shake remains humble and will continue to participate in Emirates Draw. When asked about his plans if he wins the AED 100 million, he said, “It is always good to plan once we have the winning amount in our hands. Until then, I will definitely continue playing Emirates Draw.’’
These two winners demonstrate that there is no one correct way to play.
